【Darkness demo】-Top 3 Small Sportsbooks In Las Vegas

During March Madness, fans and bettors pack into Las Vegas sportsbooks.

Large sportsbooks like those at Circa Resort in downtown Las Vegas and the off-Strip Westgate are longtime favorites, attracting crowds during big events like NFL games and the NCAA March Madness tournaments—but also during day-to-day sporting events throughout the year.

Across the Las Vegas Valley, sportsbooks have always been a popular attraction. Other favorites include the sportsbooks at resorts like the South Point and a newer addition to the valley’s resort scene, the off-Strip Durango. Sportsbooks at neighborhood casinos that especially cater to locals also attract devoted fans and bettors.

While the large casino sportsbooks continue to draw big crowds, some of the smaller books in the downtown area and on the Strip appeal to fans and bettors wanting a budget-conscious, slightly less-raucous environment with amenities—multiple TV screens, helpful ticket writers, and good bar food and drinks.

Gambling.com’s Top 3 Small Sportsbooks

The definition of small sportsbook is somewhat subjective, but the three below are smaller than some of the much larger sportsbooks around town.

Fremont:This casino, operated by publicly traded Boyd Gaming, has a FanDuel sportsbook—FanDuel’s first and only presence in Nevada. The Fremont, one of the historic casinos in downtown Las Vegas, also is Gambling.com’s No. 1 choice in the category of “Top 5 Classic Las Vegas Casinos You Can Visit.” A food hall near the sportsbook offers a variety of affordable options, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Steak ‘n Shake.

Resorts World Las Vegas: This small sportsbook is located within an open space that includes a Dawg House Saloon serving Nashville chicken and waffles, chili, barbecued pulled pork sandwiches and more. Television screens are visible from the restaurant, and, of course, in the sportsbook. Resorts World was built at the former site of the now-demolished Stardust,  home of a legendary sportsbook once operated by Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal">Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal, an oddsmaker and Chicago Outfit associate who managed the casino for Midwestern crime families. The 1995 Las Vegas Mob movie “Casino” features Robert De Niroas character based on Rosenthal. In a nod to the previous occupant of that location on the Strip, Resorts World has placed a Stardust replica sign near a front entrance and another one an outer wall at the sportsbook.

Planet Hollywood: The sportsbook at the Planet Hollywood resort offers comfortable seating, multiple big screens and a variety of food choices in the casino and the adjoining Miracle Mile shopping and dining attraction. The sportsbook also is connected by an interior walkway to Pin-Up Pizza, where pizza slices come separately or in combinations like "The Marilyn Monroe"—a pizza slice, a garlic knot and a 20-ounce fountain drink. Planet Hollywood, now a Caesars Entertainment property, is at the site of the former Aladdin, a resort once linked to organized crime. The Aladdin also is where Elvis Presleyand Priscilla Beaulieuwere married in 1967. For more on the Aladdin, listen to episode 2 of the “Mobbed Up” podcast.

Note: Especially during March Madness and other major events, check for seating availability and seat/table pricing at casino sportsbooks.
